SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOP - WEDNESDAY 1ST JLUY 2015 10AM - 12PM
And here she is! Our new Scarecrow!
Lots of families came along to help make and dress our new garden friend. Wood was sawn, clothes were donated, she was posted in the ground and flowers were planted beneath her with a few chicken sculptures. The chooks were let out for the morning and had a run around the garden, the children played and helped with the scarecrow dressing & stuffing, watered, weeded and had lots of fun. They all took home eggs, kale and other garden pickings. So, a name is needed for our new lady friend. Any ideas? ...................................................................................... Our Scarecrow is need of a new outfit and a little bit of maintenance. Come along and join in the fun as we give him a tidy up. We will also be making another scarecrow to place in the garden to help keep out the crows and cats from our school. Green Thumbs will provide all the structural items but we will need some clothing - overalls, mens shirt, old nana dress, straw hats, old gumboots, gloves etc.. if you have something please bring it along. Please bring appropriate clothing for yourselves and a light snack. |
