Our first school grown produce market can only be described as AMAZING! At first we thought there would only be a small amount of vegi's to pick & sell, but as we started harvesting from all of the vegi beds, it turned out there was quite a lot! The carrot harvesting would have to have been the highlight of the afternoon, with the Environmental Team digging through and pulling out some crazy shaped carrots but one carrot stood out from the rest with it's mammoth length of being 35cm cm long and perfectly straight! The schools community support was overwhelming to say the least and a total of $140 was donated in the sale of vegetables and homemade liquid fertilizer! The proceeds will go towards purchasing chickens & the building of their new home.

Thanks Kate, it was definitely a huge success and we will hopefully have another produce market before the end of term 1.
